Through the silent landscape,
With its clear water trickling
Over the rocks.
As I watch the beautiful river,
I am at home
Feeling relaxed,
Calmed,
At peace of mind,
With nothing to disrupt me
And my thoughts.
Letting my mind
Softly wander
Just like the current.
Watching the unending
Current stream
In many directions
Never grasping exact locations
Where the river will lead-
This small river
So insignificant that very few
People know;
No one else may
Ever know...
The easiest place to think.
This was a good fiction story (It was fiction right?). I have a feel of what your saying because when my family camps in the Rockies we see some pretty remote streams.
ReplyDeleteWow, that was soothing. You are a great poetic writer.
ReplyDeleteThis poem really feels good to read, and part of that reason is because the images are peaceful, and part of the reson is the way you spaced the lines. When we write short lines in poetry, it makes the content more approachable, and easier for the reader to digest.
